ISABEL MARANT FALL/WINTER 2018 – THE WILD WEST

The Isabel Marant Fall/Winter 2018 took us to prairies, saloons with swinging doors, the Amish, the Wild West. Uninterrupted horizons and low skies were the unseen back drop for the silhouettes that inspired us to head to the hills with a cowboy.

On the runway: Raw wool blanket-style coats to stay warm, and lots of texture. Felt, reversed sheep-skin, leather. And boots. Very long boots, adorned with metal details. The bags were naturally Mexican saddle-inspired. And of course, lurex, printed fluttering silk and dresses so as to look great when dancing around the camp fire late into the night.
